Perennial Favorites Return To Music On The Green

MARIPOSA — Music on the Green continues its 25th season with free concert performances by The Trespassers on Friday July 22, and The GrassKickers on Saturday, July 23, at the Mariposa County Arts Park Stage.

Hometown heroes, The Trespassers write and cover songs influenced by old-time and gypsy jazz and have been an anticipated favorite at Mariposa Evenings every season, playing at the Art Park since it’s opening in 2004.

They are now respected veterans on the live music scene from the foothills to the Bay area, having played at The Strawberry Music Festival, The Fillmore Auditorium, and The Great American Music Hall, to name but a few. Their CDs have been played on radio stations from Santa Cruz to Fresno, San Francisco to L.A.

We welcome the return of The GrassKickers – popular perennial performers of past Music on the Green concerts – back to the Art Park stage on Saturday. Playing traditional, contemporary, and original bluegrass music with expert vocal and instrumental aplomb, this band of seasoned professionals also incorporates laugh out loud humor into their very entertaining set.

For more information and to sample the sounds of these groups, visit their Facebook and/or web site.
