MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control this week on State Route-49 (SR-49) and SR-140 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:
STATE ROUTE 49
• One-way traffic control at Joe Howard Road for utility work beginning Saturday, February 10, through Sunday, February 11, 2024. Traffic control will be from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m
STATE ROUTE 140
• One-way traffic control from Midpines to Briceburg for pavement work beginning Sunday, February 11, through Friday, February 16, 2024. Traffic control will be from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from Briceburg to El Portal Road for pavement work beginning Sunday, February 11, through Friday, February 16, 2024 Traffic control will be from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
