MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route-140 (SR-140) for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:
STATE ROUTE 132
• One-way traffic control at Hidalgo Street for utility work on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Work will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
STATE ROUTE 140
• One-way traffic control from beginning of the passing lane in Catheys Valley to
State Route 49 North for pavement work beginning Sunday, January 12, through
Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from beginning of the passing lane in Catheys Valley to State Route 49 North for pavement. Work begins Wednesday, January 15, through Friday, January 17, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• One-way traffic control at Fourth Street for sign/banner work on Monday, January 13, 2025. Work will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Hummingbird Lane to Aqua Fria Road for utility work. Work will occur on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Yaqui Gulch Road to Aqua Fria Road for utility work. Work will occur Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to take place as listed. Therefore, it is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, equipment/material availability, and construction-related issues.
