MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route-49 (SR-49) and SR-140 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:
STATE ROUTE 49
• One-way traffic control at the Fairgrounds Road Entrance for utility work beginning Monday, September 16. The work will continue through Friday, September 20, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
STATE ROUTE 140
• One-way traffic control from the beginning of the passing lane in Catheys Valley to SR 49 for pavement work. The work begins Sunday, September 15, through Monday, September 16, from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Also, Tuesday, September 17, through Friday, September 20, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
This work will take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials and construction related issues.
