One-Way Traffic Control Next Week

MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route-49 (SR-49) and SR-140 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:

STATE ROUTE 49

• One-way traffic control from State Route 49 to Smith Road for striping work beginning Monday, August 26. Work will continue through Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• One-way traffic control from Mt. Ophir Road to Bear Valley Road for pavement work beginning Monday, August 26. Work will continue from Friday, August 30, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

SHIghway 140 signTATE ROUTE 140

• One-way traffic control from beginning of the passing lane in Catheys Valley to State Route 49 for pavement work beginning Sunday, August 25. Work will continue through Monday, August 26, from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Also,  Tuesday August 27, through Friday, August 30, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

• One-way traffic control from Whitlock Road to Yosemite National Park for pavement work beginning Sunday, August 25. Work will continue through Friday, August 30, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.

This work will take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials and construction related issues.
