One-Way Traffic Control Next Week

MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route-49 (SR-49) and SR-140 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:

STATE ROUTE 49

• One-way traffic control from Mount Bullion Cutoff Road to Mt. Ophir Road for pavement work beginning Monday, August 19. The work continues through Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

• One-way traffic control from Joe Howard Road to Mariposa Creek for pavement work on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

STATE ROUTE 140

• One-way traffic control from beginning of the passing lane in Catheys Valley to State Route 49 for pavement work beginning Sunday, August 18, through Monday, August 19, from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The work continues Tuesday August 20, through Friday, August 23, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

• One-way traffic control from Whitlock Road to Yosemite National Park for pavement work beginning Sunday, August 18. The work continues through Friday, August 23, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials and construction  issues.
