MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route-140 (SR-140) for maintenance and construction operations. The work schedule is as follows:
STATE ROUTE 140
• One-way traffic control from Mariposa Creek to State Route 49 South for work beginning Monday, May 13. The work will take place through Friday, May 17, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from Briceburg to South Fork Merced River for pavement work beginning Monday, May 13. The work will take place through Friday, May 17, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from South Fork Merced River to Yosemite National Park for pavement work beginning Monday, May 13. The work will take place through Friday, May 17, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from Midpines to Briceburg for pavement work beginning Tuesday, May 14. The work will take place through Friday, May 17, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from Bull Creek Road to South Fork Merced River for pavement work beginning Tuesday, May 14. The work will take place through Friday, May 17, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 5–10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials and construction related issues.
