MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route-140 (SR-140) for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:
STATE ROUTE 140
• One-way traffic control at Fourth Street for sign/banner work on Monday, April 1, 2024. This work will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Fifth Street to Seventh Street for utility
beginning Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, 2024, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from Briceburg to Bear Creek Bridge for pavement work beginning Monday, April 1. This work will occur through Friday, April 5, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from Bear Creek Bridge to Bull Creek Road for pavement work beginning Monday, April 1. This work will occur through Friday, April 5, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 5–10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
Please note that we may need to make changes to the scheduled work due to traffic incidents, weather conditions, equipment/material availability, and construction issues.
