Music on the Green to Host Skull Country and Little Tiger

MARIPOSASkull Country will make their Music on the Green debut on Friday, July 7. From the mind of long-time Music on the Green performer and Calaveras county music producer/performer Nicholas Lefler comes the Western band Skull Country. Mixing roots of country western music and Spanish guitar, Skull Country designs timeless music for film, western bars, and one’s nostalgic journey back in time. From the iconic sounds of the gold rush era to upbeat 1970s dance tunes of the western outlaw scene, Skull Country offers a new take on the classic western sound.

Little Tiger returns to Music on the Green on Saturday, July 8th. Little Tiger is Mariposa’s local new wave/synth-pop duo comprised of Alex Vance on synth and vocals and Adam Burns on guitar and bass. Contrasting electronic beats with lush synthesizers and chorus drenched guitar hooks, Little Tiger’s emotional soundscape reflects their love of The Cure, Joy Division, and Depeche Mode. Their emotionally astute lyrics celebrate the divergent and nonconforming, blending defiance, a call for community and connection with unadulterated joy.
