Multiple Sclerosis Run, Walk, Bike-A-Thon

MARIPOSA–The Mariposa County 4-H Citizenship project is planning its 12th Annual Multiple Sclerosis Bike-a-Thon. This event is open to the public; all ages are invited to participate. Again this year, we are including Runners and Walkers.

The event is being held on Sunday, April 2, 2023. The course starts at Indian Gulch Road and HWY 140 in Catheys Valley.

Registration begins at 11:30 am.

The ride, walk, and run begins at 12:00 pm and travels down Indian Gulch Road to the finish at Hornitos Park, with a BBQ and Awards ceremony. All proceeds are going to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Multiple Sclerosis is a serious progressive disease of the central nervous system, occurring mainly in young adults and thought to be caused by an immune system malfunction. It leads to the loss of myelin in the brain or spinal cord and causes muscle weakness, poor eyesight, slowed speech, and some inability to move.

Come enjoy a leisurely Run, Walk, or Ride through the beautiful foothills, visit our local establishments, and experience the rich history and atmosphere of our historic towns.

Remember to mark your calendar for the Run, Walk, or Bike-A-Thon, Sunday, April 2, 2023. For pledge forms and more information please call 209-382-7062 or 376-2320.
