MARIPOSA — The Mariposa County Arts Council’s Music on the Green continues free summer concerts this weekend with High Country Chimes on Friday, July 1, and The Soul Galaxy on Saturday, July 2.
High Country Chimes are based out of Tuolumne County and embrace California’s acoustic folk revival sound. Featuring a variety of vocals, acoustic guitars and Mariposa’s own, Jared Jesperson on mandolin.
On July 2nd, one of Mariposa’s best loved bands The Soul Galaxy will take the stage. They’re a hard-hitting blues rock trio featuring guitar master Tim Hager, former L.A. studio drummer Jon Kidd, and from the central valley, Charles Green on electric bass.
A complete schedule of the talent performing throughout this summer season can be found at mariposaartscouncil.org/music-on-the-green.
Tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated.
All performances begin at 7 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) at the Mariposa County Arts Park, located on Hwy. 140, between 4th and 5th Streets, in historic downtown Mariposa, CA.
