MARIPOSA — Local metal trio JNX will make their Music on the Green debut on Friday, July 28. Crushing, aggressive, and raw are a few descriptions of the band. Brothers Jonah and Xavier Dacanay have been influenced by bands such as Van Halen, Metallica, and Pantera. These young rockers strive to carry the torch in the metal genre for younger generations.
Music on the Green staples, Mike Hammar and The Nails return to the Arts Park on Saturday, July 29th. This band is always one of, if not the most anticipated band of the season. Mike Hammar has deep roots in Mariposa County with his Southern Sierra Miwok heritage. He and his band are one of central California’s premier contemporary blues bands.
All performances begin at 7:00 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) at the Mariposa County Arts Park (5013 Hwy 140) in historic downtown Mariposa, CA.
Parking is available along 4th and 5th Street. The lower 5th Street parking lot provides an accessible pedestrian path to the Arts Park through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entry.
Tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated.
