COARSEGOLD – A firefighter missing for three days on the Jemez Ranger District in New Mexico is a Yosemite High School graduate from Coarsegold.

KRQE News 13 in New Mexico is reporting that Token Adams, 41, an engine captain with the US Forest Service, was responding to a fire on the Santa Fe National Forest, but failed to show up at the pre-planned meeting point.

The last contact anyone had with Adams was a phone call with his wife at about 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, according to KRQE.com.

Forest Service spokeswoman Karen Takai says the number of searchers on the ground has increased from 75 to 100, and the search has been expanded to 30 square miles in the rugged terrain near Jemez Springs.
