Mariposa County Family Loses Everything In House Fire

MARIPOSA COUNTY — Just after 3 a.m. this morning, the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting a structure fire in the Greeley Hill Area of Mariposa County.

Mariposa County Fire Stations 24, 26 and 31 were dispatched along with Cal Fire to a two-story home, located in the 6700 block of Greeley Hill Road, Greeley Hill.

Upon arrival firefighters found the structure fully involved. The family of two adults and three children escaped without injury. The 1,300 sq. ft. home, reportedly built in 1928, and its contents were a total loss.

The family is currently staying with relatives.
