Madera County Libraries Offer e-Books for e-Readers

OAKHURST – Madera County Libraries are now offering e-book checkouts for Nook, iPad, Kindle Fire, Android devices and other e-readers.

Three e-books can be checked out at a time, for 14 days at a time. Not all books available in print are also available as e-books, because some publishers don’t sell some of their e-books to libraries. More information is available at the library, at 49044 Civic Circle Drive in Oakhurst. The library is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. All Madera County libraries are closed Thursday, Sept. 27, for a state furlough day.
