NORTH FORK — Local t-shirt brand, Get Deerty (by Lawson Studios) has teamed up with local non-profit Pathos Screen Printing to create an Oak Fire relief fundraiser. An assortment of items, including t-shirts, hoodies, tanks, and decals are being sold with 100% profits going to those who have lost their homes.

Assisting in the fundraiser is a mix of mountain folk from our beloved central Sierra mountain communities, from Mariposa to North Fork. Owners of Get Deerty, Heather, and Kim Lawson, originally from Mariposa now residing in Bass Lake with their print shop located in downtown North Fork. You may know them through Lawson Studios and previous fire relief efforts for the Creek Fire ($26,780 raised), Detwiler Fire ($6,416 raised), and the Ferguson Fire ($7,899).

The Oak Fire design was thoughtfully crafted by Heather Lawson, each element with a particular meaning. The giant oak rooted into the ground represents the community standing strong. The butterflies rising from the flames represent Mariposa rising from the ashes. The helicopter over the moon was inspired by a photo taken during the Oak Fire by Matthew Rouse. The silhouettes are of the firefighters protecting the oak tree and our community from the Oak Fire.

Pathos Screen Printing, located in downtown Mariposa, will be hand-printing each of the items for the fundraiser.

Get Deerty and Pathos Screen Printing will be donating 100% of net proceeds to benefit those who lost their homes in the fire.
