MOUNTAIN COMMUNITIES–The Madera and Mariposa County Sheriff’s Offices are sharing information and resources ahead of the atmospheric river storms that are predicted to affect our communities over the next several days. This comes while most people are still digging out from several feet of snow that fell over the last two weeks, including power outages and road and school closures.

County Fire station 24, located at 9729 Merced Falls Road, La Grange

WARMING/EVACUATION SHELTER:

• Oakhurst Community Center (39800 Fresno Flats Rd, Oakhurst, CA 93644). Open 24/7. Contact: American Red Cross 800-733-2767
• Madera County Office of Emergency Services will arrange shelter for anyone who needs it. Contact: (559) 675-7770

We want to reassure residents that officials are in the field frequently monitoring conditions, including water levels of streams, creeks, rivers, and burn scar areas.
