Local Red Cross to Host Recruitment Event in Oakhurst

OAKHURST — If you have ever wondered what the American Red Cross does and how they respond to all types of disasters, now is your chance to find out!

Join the Red Cross of Madera and Mariposa Counties as they host a morning full of Red Cross information on local and national deployments.

The Red Cross needs volunteers for all lines of service, including sheltering, feeding, logistics, health services, mental health, spiritual care, and driving emergency response vehicles to just name a few of the spots they need to recruit for.

Everyone welcome to apply no matter what your vaccination status is (there are some mask restrictions on deployments).

10 a.m.Break-Out Sessions with the Real Heroes of the Red Cross: Talk to actual Madera/Mariposa Red Cross Volunteers that have gone on local and national deployments.

11 a.m.Come Join the Team: You can meet with recruiters and get started with the application process.
