NORTH FORK–Over 40 schools entered the Slick Rock Student Film Festival in Visalia at the historic Fox Theater. The Slick Rock Student Film Festival is Central California’s premier film competition for middle and high school students in Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, and Tulare counties. It is a program of the Tulare County Office of Education with support from the Tulare County Suicide Prevention Task Force.
The competition included 900 students submitting their work. Of the 17 total categories, Chawanakee Unified’s middle school and high school CTE media students won 3 of them.
