HOW One Dinner Can Change a Life: Susan Davis

OAKHURST — This month, the Oakhurst community is rallying behind Susan Davis, who was recently diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. A special dinner event hosted by Helping One Woman (HOW) Oakhurst aims to support her through her challenging treatment journey.

Initially, Susan Davis lived in Oakhurst from 1992 – 2002, where she raised her two children. Originally from the East Coast, she found a sense of family in the Oakhurst community. Susan returned to Oakhurst in 2019 after raising her children, Ryan and Hannah. She runs a part-time pet-sitting business and has worked as a home health aide for the elderly.

Recently diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer, she is undergoing chemo and radiation. Despite this challenge, she is grateful for the support of her community and looks forward to resuming her favorite activities like hiking and outdoor adventures.

A Special Night of Giving

To begin, this event is sponsored by Danielle and Mechaila Scott, with venue sponsorship provided by Lisa Hirschman. Attendees must purchase prepaid dinner tickets at MYSOSEvent.com.

Additionally, attendees must provide a minimum $10 monetary gift at the door, payable in cash, check (made out to Susan Davis), or Venmo. Every dollar collected will go directly to Susan.
