OAKHURST–Shortly before 10pm on August 23, 2022 the Madera County Sheriff’s Communications Center received a call from a male reporting he discovered his wife deceased at their home.
MCSO Deputies responded to the residence in the 40000 block of Highway 49, in the area of Covey Court in Oakhurst and located a deceased female.

Following interviews and extensive processing of the evidence at the scene, detectives determined the female was a victim of homicide. The husband, 58 year old John A. Kingcade of Oakhurst, has been arrested and charged with her murder.
