Golden Chain Loses Beloved Friend
Daniel Ross was only 46 years old when he passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. He was a much-loved friend and past-president of the Golden Chain Theatre.
Mary Lou (LuLu) Finley, vice-president of the Golden Chain, was devasted by the news. “He had a God-given talent, an unbelievable voice. He was loved by so many people, my phone has not stopped ringing since we heard the news.”
Dan was also known as a guy who was a master with a computer. “He had an extraordinary talent with the computer,” says LuLu. “He could do anything.”
Roger Clugston, playwright and past-president of the theater, said Dan was one of those guys who was always there to help anyone who needed him.
“He built sets, he did anything and everything around the theater,” said Clugston. “Anything that was asked of him and more. And he was a great acting talent.
“Daniel will be remembered as being a generous and understanding friend. He was a great talent…and this is a great loss. Rest in Peace, my friend. We’ll keep your memory fondly tied to our hearts.”
