NORTH FORK — A vegetation fire reported on Arab Way just off Rocky Road near the intersection of Road 200 and Road 221, was quickly handled by firefighters this afternoon.
Just before noon on Saturday, crews responded to a fire burning in grass next to a horse corral at a home at the end of Arab Way.
Cal Fire Engine 4255 out of Rancheria was first on scene, reporting about one acre with a moderate rate of spread.
Two structures were immediately threatened near the fire.
Firefighters had the fire contained within a few minutes of arriving, and resources not already at scene were cancelled. The Incident Commander estimates about an hour for mopup.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
