O’NEALS – Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire just after 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, in the O’Neals area.
A double-wide mobile home just off Road 211, and south of Road 210, was fully engulfed when the first engines arrived on scene.
Though firefighters were able to keep the blaze from spreading into surrounding vegetation or to the house next door, they were not able to save the home, which was a total loss.
Cal Fire Engines 4260, 4285 and 4295 responded, along with Madera County Fire Engines 8 and 10, and Water Tenders 11 and 17.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
