Evacuations Lifted For Boyer Fire In The Lush Meadows Area

MARIPOSA – Evacuations have been lifted on the Boyer Fire, according to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office. This is still an active fire and suppression equipment is still in the area, so please drive with caution.

The fire is burning in the Bootjack/ Lush Meadows area and was reported just after 1:30 p.m. this afternoon. It quickly grew to about 75 acres, and prompted the evacuation of residents along Sherrod Road. Power was also out for nearly 100 customers until about 5:30 p.m.

As of this hour, the fire is reported to be 40 percent contained.
