Disturbance Call Lands 2 Mountain Area Men Behind Bars

OAKHURST – A call for service to handle a disturbance inside a building in Oakhurst ended with the arrest of two mountain area men – one wanted on a felony no bail warrant, the other later arrested by California Highway Patrol officers for DUI.

Shane Jacob Casey, 19, of Oakhurst, and Adrian James Parker, 23, of Coarsegold were taken into custody by sheriff’s deputies and CHP officers shortly after 4 a.m. Monday.Authorities were dispatched to a building not far from the Talking Bear off Highway 41, to handle what was initially called in as a disturbance among a crowd of people.

When officers arrived, a man later identified as Parker was attempting to drive away. He was stopped and taken into custody by CHP officers for alleged DUI.

Adrian James ParkerShane Jacob CaseyShane Casey, wanted on a no-bail warrant, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies, and is being held without bail. He was wanted for probation violation and vehicle theft.

Adrian Parker posted bail, and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 25.
