Discover Fresh & Local Produce at Mariposa Farmers Market

MARIPOSA–The Mariposa Certified Farmers Market is open for the season! There’s so much going on you really have to go to see it all.

What is a Certified Farmers’ Market?

Not all farmers’ markets or roadside stands are certified by the state of California. Our market is proudly a certified market. This means that all of the agricultural products at the Mariposa market have been certified by the Agricultural Department that they are being grown by the farmer who is selling them. This means that you are purchasing a product from the person who has grown it!

The Market Features Multiple Farms including:

  • Raw Roots Farm
  • Shasky Farms
  • Serrano Farms
  • Happy Goat
  • Country Nerd Farm
  • G&J’s Little Farm
  • FAT Cattle

And several Artisans, Preservers and Hot Food:

There are also artisan bakers/preservers like Shelly’s Jellies, soap and body products from Sierra Soap which is FAT Cattle beef tallow based, and sourdough bread from WildFlour. If you’re hungry you can get hot dinner options from L&J Mexican Food. There’s even artisan makers like Weevies and Designs by Abby. A few more vendors are going to be joining the market soon as well.

Something For Everyone including the kids

Every 2nd Wednesday of the month is for the kids. The Mariposa Health and Human Services department sponsors Kids Bucks which are $5 for all kids ages 6 months up to 18 years old. These can be used for fruits and vegetables at the market. The child must be present to receive and use the market bucks. This offer is available while supplies last. The Mariposa County Library is also hosting some children’s activities at the market this year.

Informational Booths:

The Master Gardeners and Master Food Preservers, a Dental Team and other community organizations also set up informational booths at the market.

When?

The market runs every Wednesday (May 1-October 30) from 4:30-6:30pm at the parking lot at the bottom of 6th Street on Stroming Road in Mariposa.
The market accepts EBT market-wide and most vendors take cash, credit, venmo as well.
