Corrine Fire Nearing Total Containment

NORTH FORK – Residents have been allowed to return home to all areas evacuated during the Corrine Fire, which is now 75 percent containment at 920 acres.

There are currently 1,205 personnel assigned to the incident, with 91 engines, 38 crews, 10 water tenders, 6 dozers and 2 helicopters.

Fire equipment is still moving around the fire area, and firefighters are still hard at work with mop-up, working hot spots and reinforcing firelines.

The Corrine Fire started on Thursday, June 18, just after 9 p.m. on Box Canyon Road south of North Fork. The cause remains under investigation.
