OAKHURST — Allow yourself to be transported to Agrabah with the teens from Golden Chain Theater‘s 2019 Summer Workshop as they present Aladdin, Jr.!
The talented youth have spent a good portion of summer getting prepared to bring to life the classic tale of a young thief-turned-prince, along with his monkey, magic carpet and special blue friend who makes it all happen.
Directed as part of a paid summer program for teenagers, this production is the conclusion of the workshop which began on July 1. It’s a local version of the one-act, multi-scene theatre musical adapted from the 1992 Walt Disney Animation Studios film Aladdin which is an adaptation of the folk tale Aladdin.
Curtains rise thrice only: Friday, Aug. 2, and Saturday, Aug. 3 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 4 for matinee at 2 p.m. Tickets for adults and seniors are $12 each and for youth under 12 the ticket is $10 (with a $1 convenience fee attached to each individual ticket).
