Christmas Tree Lighting and Bake-Off in North Fork

NORTH FORK – Please join us for this annual community event on Friday, Dec.  6, from 4 – 6 p.m. in downtown North Fork, as we set the holiday season aglow with the lighting of our living pine Christmas Tree, along with the 2nd annual Bake-Off!

This year promises to be better than ever as jumbo ornaments, provided by the North Fork Chamber of Commerce, deck the tree from top to bottom with the help from Central Sierra Pest Control & Tree Service.

Sweet treats anyone? Enter your best chocolate, best cookie or best cake in this family-friendly event and you could walk away with one of three $50 Visa gift card prizes (see below for rules of entry).

Don’t feel like competing, but want to contribute some yummy goodness to the event? Yes, do it! Please bring your contribution to the dessert tent next to the Post Office.

Do you hear what I hear? Listen to the sounds of carolers as we open the event with the winners of our Bake-Off Bash and hand out cash (well, cash gift cards).

Your local North Fork Chamber will provide candy canes, hot cocoa and apple cider as we enjoy the tastes of contest entries and an amazing holiday dessert bar.

Sugar not your thing? Grace Community Church will be on hand selling hot fresh popcorn to with proceeds going toward their upcoming Christmas Dinner Baskets give-away. Have snack, help a neighbor!

East County Flooring Services gives back once again with light-up toys and candy bags for children under 10 years of age (while supplies last). We offer thanks to Noe and his team for the beautifully installed flooring at our Visitor’s Center on Main Street.

Something Special Gifts, a co-op of artists from Oakhurst and a North Fork Chamber member, will have shopping tents filled with hand-crafted gifts to help put some merry under your tree and ease the gift-giving list.

Let us know if your business would like to participate – the more the merrier (oh how Christmas-ie is that).

Joy, peace and blessings.
