Rita G. Maczko

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rita G. Maczko, who lived a remarkable and inspiring life for 106 years. Rita was born in Madera, CA, and she called Mariposa, CA, her home. She was the beloved eldest tribal elder of the Chukchansi Tribe, a woman of strength and wisdom. A devout believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Rita’s life was a testament to her resilient spirit and her enduring belief that in times of hardship, one should do their best, hold their head high, and always prioritize family. She taught us that in the face of adversity, we should never waver from doing what is right, and above all, to embrace the philosophy of “Live and Let Live.”
Rita’s strength was a wellspring of inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy is one of resilience, perseverance, and a commitment to the values that truly matter. Rita was loved by her many family members, extended family members, friends, and special friends from MACT Health Board in Mariposa.
We invite all who knew and loved Rita to join us in celebrating her life at the Funeral Services, which will be held on October 25th, 2023, at 11:00am at Palm Memorial Sierra Chapel, located at 49269 Rd 426, Oakhurst, CA 93644. Additionally, a joyous celebration of her life will be planned for a later date, to be announced soon.
As we bid farewell to Rita G. Maczko, we carry forward the lessons she imparted and the love she shared. She leaves behind a cherished legacy that will live on in our hearts and memories. Rita’s remarkable journey may have come to an end, but her spirit will continue to inspire us for generations to come.
Rita’s memory will forever be a source of strength and inspiration to us all.
