Patricia Ann Murray, 82, of Oakhurst, CA, passed away peacefully on July 24th, 2023.
Pat was born in Barrow-in-Furness, England, on December 29th, 1940, to Florence “Jean” and James Orrell.
Pat’s father was in the Royal British Navy and was killed in action in 1941. Pat immigrated to the United States with her mother and stepfather in 1952. She attended Inglewood High School in Los Angeles, CA, where she met the love of her life, Jack Murray, which would become her husband of 65 years.
Jack and Pat moved to Oakhurst in 1979 where they built their dream home. Pat loved her family, her flower gardens, holidays, and the many wonderful vacations they took together.
Pat was an instructional aide for 27 years. She taught at Wasuma Elementary School for 21 of those years. She loved her students and the many friendships she made along the way.
Pat is survived by her loving husband Jack, her two daughters, Debbie (Russ) Hatley, Cheri (Mike) Horasanian; grandchildren Trisha (David) Gentry, Laura (Kaleb) Carey, Jodee (Jesse) Lownsbury, Joey (Lindsi) Adams, and Justin (Andrea) McMillen. Pat was also surrounded by 13 great-grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed and forever remembered by many.
