Celebration of Life for Mary Jo Brown

Mary Jo Brown

01/21/1961 – 08/23/2024

Today, I share the passing of my wife, Mary Jo Brown. She left us on August 23rd, 2024, at the age of 63. She was surrounded by her rescued pit bulls, Lucy, butter, baby girl Roxy, Bruno, Mars, and Luna, our rescued pot-belly pig. She was a special needs bus driver for the mountain community for more than 20 years. She left behind three sons, Chandler (Holly), Stan, and Kerry, along with her only granddaughter Zephira and her beloved husband.

From: Chandler

I love you. We will meet again. I wish we had more time…

From: Stan

Mom was a huge part of our lives, and it’s hard to put into words what she meant to everyone. She had vast amounts of love, kindness, and patience that we all benefited from. She never hesitated to give help or advice to anyone who asked for it. Her loss will have a lasting impact on everyone who knew her, and especially on her family. I love you mom, I hope you’re at peace.

From: Kerry

My mom was an amazing mother who loved everyone. She was a strong-willed woman with an enormous heart. She will be deeply missed by her family and the whole mountain community. I believe she is resting happily in heaven, watching over us all. I love you, Mom.

From: Holly

Mom, thank you for being who you are and always accepting me for me.

From: Zephira

I love you, grandma. I loved swimming with you during my summer break. You meant so much to me. We all love you.

We are holding a memorial service at the Coarsegold Community Center on 10/20/2024 at 3:00 p.m.
