Marie Waldrop Lane passed away November 13, 2022, at the age of 84.

Marie was a long-time resident of the Oakhurst area which she loved so much. She moved to the area in 1977 as the manager at Santa Barbara Savings.
She later went on as the Vice President of 49er Savings, President of the Chamber of Commerce, President of Sierra Healthcare Foundation and Co-Pastor of The Positive Living Center.
She was active in the community spearheading the Wild Wonderful Chocolate Festival, the Wild Wonderful Women Group, a non-profit that raised money for scholarships in the area, and so much more.
Marie is survived by her sister Ruth Ann Fretz; children Steven Faix, Kathleen Simmer, Susan Clarke, Linda Hoffman; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She will be missed by many friends and family.
