Jacob Edward Langley

August 14, 1985 – December 31, 2023

Jacob Edward Langley, 38, known to family and friends as Jake, passed away on December 31, 2023 in Oakhurst, California. He was born on August 14, 1985 in Riverside, California. The Langley family relocated to Oakhurst in July of 1994 and quickly became involved in local sports of all kinds.

Jake had a passion for fishing, golf, and watching sports. He particularly enjoyed cheering for the Braves, Chiefs, Tiger Woods and Kobe, but was happy watching whichever sport was on that day. Jake had a personality that was hard to ignore. He was always there for loved ones and acquaintances alike, offering his support whenever it was needed. His warm and caring nature touched the lives of many.

Jake is survived by his mother and father, Lynn and Roger, as well as his siblings, Andrew and Jessica, along with their partners, Matti and Taj. Jake is also survived by his nephew, Atticus, and nieces, Evelynn and Harper. In addition, he leaves behind several surviving aunts, uncles, and cousins, including the many “nieces and nephews” who affectionately called him Uncle Jake. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Lenora and Frances, grandfathers, Gilbert and Donald, and “uncles” David and Randy.

A memorial service to celebrate Jake’s life will be held on January 21st at ECCO – Episcopal Conference Center Oakhurst, located at 43803 Highway 41, Oakhurst, CA 93644. The service will take place from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Jake will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kindness, generosity, and vibrant spirit will forever be remembered.”
