Celebration of Life for Amaya Suni Chenot

With extreme sadness, we announce the passing of the young, sweet, and beautiful Miss Amaya Suni Chenot. She was 22 years at the time. In the early morning hours of Wednesday April 12, 2023, Amaya passed on into heaven. She was the victim of a tragic car accident while on her way to work.

Amaya was a Fresno county resident but was from the foothills of Mariposa/Oakhurst. Her captivating smile and energy will be dearly missed by family, friends, communities and all those who had the opportunity to know her.

Amaya was a Yosemite High School graduate, Class of 2018. She had a love for softball and played from youth up into her adult years. At YHS, she was on the varsity softball team and received honors of “Most Inspirational Player,” “Badger Teammate Award,” and “Team Captain”.

After high school, she moved to Monterrey to attend college but in 2020, moved back near home. She was a very hard worker and a passionate, loyal person. She had many friends and those who knew her mention her positive energy and the inviting smile that was always on her face. Amaya lived her life graciously and the way she wanted. Her adventure will carry on.

Amaya will be dearly missed by family members, Mom & Pop: Vickie and Matt, Mom: Kim; Brothers: Sanden and Jace; Aunts: Tawney and Lindsay; Uncle: JR; Cousins: Thunder, Talon, Willow, Arrow, & Kai.

Amaya carried a bright glow around her and that shine will never stop. Rest peacefully Mya.

Services for Amaya will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday May 6, 2023, at Yosemite Lakes Community Church.

The family welcomes all who wish to pay their respects to attend services.
