OAKHURST — Home for the holidays, local musician and composer Cedar Dobson is using this opportunity to release her album in the USA at Yosemite Gateway Art Center. Cedar will perform a selection of music from her new album and present a history of her musical journey.
Visit with Cedar on Friday, December 30, from noon to 6 p.m.
There will be two performances, one at 3 p.m. and another at 5 p.m.
There is a $5.00 recommended donation at the door.
Cedar Dobson is a performer, traditional Irish musician, instrumentalist, composer, and producer from Yosemite, California. She is based in Dublin, Ireland, where she is currently pursuing her Honors Bachelor’s Degree in music production at Pulse College.
Cedar has performed music in the United States, Ireland, Scotland, and Brazil. She has played traditional Irish music on the tin whistle with musicians such as John Doyle, Liam Kelly, Brendan Gleeson, Brian Hughes, Neillidh Mulligan, Tommy Martin, and others.
Cedar has composed music for various film projects. At 21, Cedar composed, performed, and produced her first album, Harmonies. Cedar, now 22, continues to do what she loves while living in Ireland, taking opportunities as they arise and enjoying life to the fullest.
