Calling All Runners: Annual Smokey Bear Run/Walk At Bass Lake

BASS LAKE–The Mountain Area Runners would like to invite all runners and walkers to join in the celebration of the 36th Smokey Bear Run / Walk. The event will be held at beautiful Bass Lake, California, on Saturday, September 23. This year’s proceeds will benefit CAL FIRE and the United States Forest Service (USFS) Fire Prevention Programs, and Madera County Sheriff volunteer programs.

 

Registration forms can be completed online by visiting www.smokeybearrun.com or at the race from 6:45-7:35 AM.

Races are for the entire family to come out and enjoy. The Smokey Bear Run / Walk is a 2-mile and 10K race that includes races for children of all ages and a “Fun Walk” for adults who would like to participate at their own pace. Race day fees are $40.00 and $25.00 for the children. Discounted race fees for adults are offered prior to September 17, so be sure to pre-register early!

Races to take place at Recreation Point/Bass Lake Location: 39900 Road 222, Bass Lake, California 93604. Road 222 closes to all vehicles at 7:00 a.m. and reopens at 11:00 a.m.
