The Bass Lake Courthouse is back in business this morning after the explosion that closed the facility all day yesterday.
After an incendiary device exploded outside the back door of the building around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, employees, court personnel and people having business with the court had to be turned away as investigators got to work.
The Madera County Sheriff’s Department, California Department of Forestry and the FBI are investigating the blast that shattered the glass door and damaged the surrounding walls.
Officials are hoping that inside and outside video cameras will assist in identifying the perpetrators.
No suspects are in custody at this time, and anyone with information is asked to call the Madera County Sheriff’s Department at 559-675-7770.
