MIDPINES–Air and ground firefighters are responding to a vegetation fire in the area near Grosjean Road and near Alta Vista Road. The fire is burning at a rapid rate of spread and threatening multiple structures. This is the French Fire.

Evacuation Center is at New Life Christian Fellowship, 5089 Cole Road in Bootjack. Central California Animal Disaster Team (CADT) is assisting animal owners with their small companion animals there.

Evacuation Warning- This is not a Mandatory Evacuation, it is simply a warning of fire in the area and a possible need to evacuate quickly should fire conditions change. Residents should begin to plan and prepare.
