OAKHURST–The California Highway Patrol and Madera County Sheriff’s Office are reporting a traffic collision has occurred in the area of Highway 41 and Road 222. This is reported to be a head-on collision involving two vehicles. Emergency medical personnel and tow trucks are en route.

Per the Madera County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page and app a portion of SR-41, north of Oakhurst, is closed in both directions following a fatal collision. The route is closed near River Falls Road. A detour is in place. Please try and avoid the area if possible. ETO is unknown.
