The Madera County Sheriff’s Office feels the threat level is elevated enough that an Evacuation Warning is necessary and prudent.
The Sheriff’s Office strongly encourages you begin gathering important documents, pets, medications and necessities. Be prepared to leave immediately in case the situation deteriorates.
Don’t wait for an evacuation order to leave if you feel threatened. Those who require additional time to evacuate, and those with pets and livestock should leave now. If you’re in need of evacuation assistance, call (559) 675-7770. If it is an emergency, call 911.
If you stay at your property, rescue or lifesaving assistance might be impossible after the onset of the emergency. You may be stranded for several days.
