30th Annual Kids First June Jubilee Returns June 6 to Support Mariposa Classrooms

One of Mariposa County’s longtime community fundraising traditions is set to return this summer as the 30th Annual Kids First June Jubilee takes place Saturday, June 6, at the scenic Jerseydale Ranch, also known by many locals as the Pumpkin Patch.
Hosted by Kids First Mariposa County Schools Foundation, the annual event raises money to support local students and teachers through classroom grants and educational programs. Organizers describe the June Jubilee as their signature fundraiser and a major source of annual funding for the nonprofit’s mission.
This year’s event will be held at Jerseydale Ranch, located at 6584 Jerseydale Road in Mariposa. Guests will be treated to an outdoor dining experience surrounded by pine trees, mountain scenery and lakeside views, making it both a fundraiser and a memorable early summer evening in the foothills.
The evening begins with social hour at 4 p.m., followed by dinner service at 5:30 p.m. During the social hour, guests can enjoy appetizers while visiting with friends and neighbors. A no-host bar serving wine and beer will also be available.
Dinner will be catered by Willow Creek Catering and includes appetizers, salad, entrée and dessert.
A popular part of the June Jubilee each year is the silent auction, which opens during social hour. Guests can browse and bid on a variety of donated items and experiences provided by local businesses, artists and community members. A live auction is also planned for the evening, giving attendees another opportunity to support the cause while competing for unique offerings.
According to Kids First, proceeds from the event go directly to student-based programs and classroom support. The organization was formed to aid students in the Mariposa County Unified School District by providing teachers with supplemental funds for their classrooms through grants.
Those grants help teachers bring in innovative materials, hands-on learning opportunities and classroom resources that may not otherwise fit into school budgets. Over the years, community support for the June Jubilee has helped fund a wide range of educational needs across local campuses.
Organizers say the event has remained successful for three decades because of strong local backing from residents who understand the value of supporting schools close to home. In a rural community, fundraising efforts like this often make a direct impact where families can see the results.
Tickets for the June Jubilee are $75 each and may be purchased online through the Kids First website or in person at Creekside Nursery in Mariposa.
For those looking for a great night out while helping local students succeed, the June Jubilee continues to offer a winning combination of community spirit, good food and meaningful support for Mariposa County classrooms.
