“This is a fantastic event! There are no admission costs and we are happy to provide free make-and-take activities for the community,” said Dr. Cecilia Massetti, Madera County Superintendent of Schools. “It’s a fun day to come out with the family, to celebrate the arts and to engage in different types of art experiences.”

The event will feature live art demonstrations and an outdoor performance stage. Ezequiel Tafoya Alvarado Academy’s mariachi band will perform at 10:30 a.m.

The event will be held in conjunction with a student art gallery. This year 469 students from 40 schools in Madera County competed in an art contest this spring. Artwork from students in transitional kindergarten through high school will be displayed in a student art gallery at the event.
