OAKHURST — Yosemite Unified School District’s Board of Trustees regular meeting on Wednesday, May 9, will take place in the cafeteria at Yosemite High School. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m., and the Agenda appears below.
Yosemite Unified School District is comprised of Coarsegold Elementary, Rivergold Elementary, Yosemite High School, and an Educational Options program.
In advance of the meeting, Interim District Superintendent Mike Berg says he is pleased to report that the district has reduced the number of persons who will be laid off to three.
“All others listed are to eliminate vacated positions,” Berg explains. “We are also eliminating six vacant administration positions to ensure a leaner management team in the future. These restructuring moves put the district on a very positive financial trajectory. We will certify a 3-5 year positive budget on June 25.”
Following the meeting on May 9, the next Board of Trustees meeting is a Special Budget Hearing/LCAP Hearing Meeting set for Tuesday, June 5 at Rivergold Elementary School in Coarsegold.
