OAKHURST — Friends, fans and supporters of the Golden Chain Theatre may want to attend their 2nd annual Golden Gala, a major fundraising event of the year.
Celebrating over 50 years of cheers, boos and hisses, the event takes place on Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Golden Chain Theatre, located at 42130 CA-41 in Oakhurst, from 6 – 9 p.m.
With the funds raised at this event, organizers will continue to provide quality entertainment and arts education to youth and adults in the community. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, complimentary glass of champagne, live entertainment, a no-host bar, raffle and silent auction. Tickets are $35 each.
Among the highlights of the evening — a preview of the 2019 season at GCT.
Meanwhile, the 2018 season is still going strong, with Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing taking the stage Sept. 21 – Oct. 7, then Madame Gadzinka’s Halloween Musical Extravaganza opens on Oct. 26 – 28, followed by A Christmas Carol running Nov. 23 – Dec. 23.
