Young Woman Killed In Highway 41 Crash Identified

COARSEGOLD – The young woman killed in a head-on crash on Highway 41 yesterday afternoon has been identified by family members.

Victoria Marie Gomez, 30, of Fresno, died when her SUV was hit head-on by a driver passing another vehicle about a mile north of Yosemite Springs Parkway.

The crash happened at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Victoria’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to cover funeral expenses.

“Unfortunately, she was taken from us too soon. Victoria had a lot of love and ambition, she was very outgoing, loved to hike, and had her goals on finishing school. Its hard to see such a young soul leave us too soon.”

Friend Will Drosche says he will miss her dearly.

“She was a hard worker and was always determined to do things right. She was so nice to everyone and did little things for them to help. She loved the ocean and and her family. She will be dearly missed.”
