Yosemite Western Artists Tri-County Exhibition

Yosemite Artists Timberline Feb 2016OAKHURST — Yosemite Western Artists not-for-profit collective is putting out the call for artists in advance of hosting its 44th Annual Tri-County Art Show. The Tri-County show is open to artists in Madera, Mariposa, and Fresno Counties. Categories include oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, fiber, mixed media, photography, and sculpture.

Cash awards are: Best of Show ($100) and First Place in each category ($50). Ribbons will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category.

The show opens at Timberline Gallery on Gallery Row on Saturday, May 21 at 10 a.m. and closes on Sunday, May 29 at 4 p.m. Awards and reception will take place on Saturday, May 21 from 4 to 6 p.m. Timberline is located at 40982 Highway 41, Suite 6 in Oakhurst.

But, wait — there’s more! This is like two shows in one, as selected works will travel to Circle Gallery in Madera, thanks to Madera County Arts Council. The exhibit will be up in Madera from June 4 through June 30.

Yosemite Western Artists is an association of artists and art patrons dedicated to promoting the visual arts in the western Yosemite area and foothills. YWA has been offering art workshops, demos and social gatherings for painters and photographers since 1969.
