OAKHURST — Yosemite Unified School District Superintendent Glen Billington announced today that Board Trustee Tim Curley intends to resign his position effective June 19. Curley has served as the trustee for Area 1 since 2018 and his term was previously scheduled to continue into 2022.
“I’m writing to express thanks to Tim Curley for his Board service, and to inform our community that Tim is resigning his position on the Yosemite Unified School District Board of Education,” writes Superintendent Billington in a letter to district staff, parents and the community.
“Tim has taken this action in order to allow his wife Sarah Curley to pursue full time employment as a teacher in the district. Tim is a thoughtful leader who provides insightful comments and questions that lead to productive discussion and actions by the district.
“The process to replace Curley is on the agenda for the Regular Board Meeting on Monday, June 17 at Rivergold Elementary School. We are looking forward to continued success as a district through the replacement process and look forward to welcoming a new member to the Board.”
