Yosemite Drug in Coarsegold Offering Free Drive Through COVID-19 Testing

COARSEGOLD – Oct. 16, 2020 – Yosemite Drug has partnered with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to provide testing to the public free of charge to help address the Covid-19 crisis. The drive up testing will take place at 35300 Hwy. 41, Ste.101 in Coarsegold.

The test will be self administered with a nasal swab and once the sample kit is sealed, Yosemite Drug submits the test to the lab for processing. Results are ready in three to five business days.

Yosemite Drug will provide appointment-based, drive up test collection for pre-screened individuals. Patients can make appointments at DoINeedACovid19Test.com.

“We need widespread coronavirus testing now. We all want life to return to normal and one way to help is more COVID-19 testing options,” says Katherine Bass owner of Yosemite Drugs. “We’re proud to serve Madera County in efforts to fight this virus”

According to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. If individuals have a cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat or a new loss of taste or smell, they should consider testing.

Updated CDC guidelines now also recommend testing for people with and without symptoms under certain conditions.
